Guru Paul, Background, Qualifications, Accreditation Page 1 of 2 Guru Paul first began his
exploration into complementary health issues
back in the mid 1980's. At age 16 his IQ was measured by British Mensa
as 178. During his teens Paul helped to nurse his ill
grandfather, who was very ill with ALZ (and therefore violent and
senile). A journey of exploration into a range of modalities of martial
arts, personal development methods (including Tai Chi, Reiki, Feng Sou,
TM) and meditation techniques, combined
with professional graduate training (University of Central England
1990-1993 BSc Hons IIT) led him to professional therapist training.
In Sept 1993 Paul Began practice as a supervised therapist with the Association of Stress Management and Institute of Hypnosis and Parapsychology. By this time Paul was an experienced Sensai in Martial Arts, specializing in teaching young persons with disabilities, promoting health education and well-being and holding a 2nd Dan Black Belt. In 1994 Paul began work alongside therapeutical practice as a designated NVQ Trainer & Assessor in the Complementary Health Field. He also Gained Associate level membership of both the Association of Stress Management and Institute of Hypnosis and Parapsychology, having achieved over 80% success rate in first 12 months. (actual score 92%). In 1995 Paul Received Full Diploma in Hypnotherapy, Stress Management and Psychoanalysis from the Association of Stress Management and Institute of Hypnosis and Parapsychology, having successfully completed over 200 cases at more than 80% success rate, and completed ongoing professional training of 2 years. In 1996 Paul attained the NVQ Level IV in Training & Development to Training and Development lead body standards, in the Industrial context of Complementary Health Education, Stress Management Education and Martial Arts Education. At this time Paul took a year out of therapy work to look after his sick parents, using the "year of care" to explore personal callings. This provided interesting opportunities to explore recruitment , PR and legal secretarial work. It also provided a chance to follow the healing call of his heart. Cont..... page 2: HERE |
